About the Project:
PCI has been implementing a project supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to design, test, implement, and evaluate impactful interventions focussing on women of reproductive age, to ensure increased uptake of and adherence to IFA supplements in identified geographies of Bihar, and develop recommendations for delivering the strategies at scale.
The project will be designed and implemented collaboratively with partner organisations that have expertise in behavioral sciences and product design for over 24 months. The project has four phases, i.e., user research and human-centred design (HCD) ideation, live prototyping and testing, onboarding for implementation, and implementation and evaluation. A behavioural science-informed HCD process would be used for identifying the barriers to IFA consumption and adherence and ideating, co-designing, and testing for solutions around it. This would be done by using experimental methods to uncover non-conscious drivers of behavior, say-do gaps, and stated and revealed decisions. It would also entail incorporating hypotheses development and testing at multiple stages, through the design ideation process.
