Duration – One year (April 2023 to March 2024)

About the Project:

The main objective of the project is to capacitate teachers from selected schools to manage classrooms through the usage of Information and Community Technology infrastructure and the usage of English as the language for classroom instructions and conversations with students.

Position Brief:

The Program Manager will support Associate Director in managing the field teams and field interventions to fulfill the project goals and objectives. S/he will work closely with the State Coordinators to ensure the overall quality of the implementation of the project. S/he will also coordinate with the PCI headquarter team to ensure the administrative, operations, and logistics support to the state teams.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support the State Coordinators in developing operating plans and key result areas for their respective states, and help them in the review of project deliverables, the overall performance of the team, and other related activities.
• Support the Associate Director in administrative management (leave, work plan, travel plan, activity report, performance plan, etc.) of the state teams.
• Coordinate with the PCI headquarters’ team to ensure the administrative, operations, and logistics support to the state project teams.
• Support the Associate Director in coordination with various project partners at the state and district levels.
• Contribute to developing and implementing a Quality Assessment and Support framework and tools for the day-to-day use of the state teams.
• Provide oversight to the state teams to work closely with education department officials at state, district, and Block levels, and with the school administration in the project areas.
• Consolidate feedback related to materials and methodologies utilized in the training of teachers, and quality assessment report of handhold supports provided to teachers by the project teams.
• Represent PCI at different forums and meetings as required and when directed by Associate Director.
• Follow up on corrective measures decided on gaps and areas of improvement.
• Analyze, consolidate, and produce comprehensive reports on training implementation and quality from time to time; contribute to other reports related to training, quality, and implementation of project interventions.
• Participate in planning and review meetings at different levels at state/district/block/schools.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Competencies & Soft Skills

• Fluent in English and Hindi language in speaking, reading, and writing
• Must be result-oriented and should work to deliver on a timeline.
• Strong ability to communicate and develop effective working relationships with all the key stakeholders.
• Ability to develop, execute and review project implementation plans
• Skills to manage administrative requirements based on organizational policies and processes
• Understanding and basic knowledge of the educational sector
• Comfortable in using MS office tools; MS word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.

Education:
• Master’s Degree in Rural Development/Social work/Sociology/Education/Community Health or a related field from a reputed university/ institute.

Work Experience:

• Minimum eight years of experience working with large-scale projects on education/health/nutrition
• Good understanding of Quality assessment and support processes in large-scale programs.
• Good understanding of Government programs related to education/health/and nutrition.
• Practical experience in supervising a team of professionals and working with technical experts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and guide a field-based team.
