  • Experience required: 5-7 years of total work experience in management consulting, strategy, business analytics, project management,

Experience in strategic documentation for the organizational leadership, which must be easily digestible, unambiguous, engaging, informative, and convincing

Demonstrated ability to perform standard analyses such as secondary research, performance analyses, competitive analyses, market analyses, etc.

Experience of working in a development sector will be an added advantage.

Understanding of the working of non-government organization

About the Role

  • Business analytics

Analyse the Health and Nutrition donor/funder international and national (philanthropies, bi-lateral funders, UN, CSR, PSUs and others) market scenario  to track type and amount of funding, priority themes and trends, especially in the new areas of PCIs interest.

Keep abreast of new opportunities for proposal Regularly analyse national and international fund flows for health and nutrition development and keep abreast of factors determining health sector fund flow.

Keep abreast of changes in funding regulations and policies of the Government of India and other major funders.

  • Proposal development

Identify new business opportunities through online searches, inter-personal relations and other channels.

Follow up on leads, keep abreast of upcoming opportunities in the sector.

Lead the writing of new business proposals and ensure their timely and complete submission.

Coordinate with technical, finance, procurement and HR teams for inputs to new proposal writing, preparation of budget etc.

Coordinate with leads and team members of other thematic areas of PCI to co-create proposals.

Comply with internal processes for proposal submission.

  • Support the team and supervisor

Regularly update the team on business analysis and current market trends.

Compile the work of the HN portfolio into a set of presentations based on requirements of the team leads and ensure their updating on a regular basis.

Coordinate with Communications team to compile all HN communications materials and keep these handy.

Support in timely preparation of programmatic and financial reports, and any other strategic documents as requested by the donor, the client or any other external stakeholder

Assist in developing strategic presentations, concept notes, proposals, pitch documents for donors as well as clients on new proposed initiatives or areas

Assist in compilation of learning documents for existing projects/initiatives and upcoming proposed initiatives in order to create and manage a repository

Support in creating and updating dashboards for tracking and reviewing key programmatic and financial performance indicators of different projects.

Data gathering, information analysing, and presenting considerations to relevant stakeholders

Under supportive supervision of Director Health and Nutrition, work closely with different project teams to produce knowledge and learning products for knowledge sharing, aiming to communicate with and influence government, donor, partners, development agencies and civil society

Support in developing workable budgets, work plans and realistic timetables for all the new initiatives

Support the communications team to develop products for public relations, corporate communication, image building and media relationship development for PCI India, if required support the HN team in achieving its milestone by developing strategy documents.

4) Other responsibilities

Support the leadership team of different project teams in timely preparation of programmatic and financial reports, and any other strategic documents as requested by the donor, the client or any other external stakeholder

Prepare meeting notes and meeting minutes; draft articles, speeches, briefings, presentations, reports; compile documents and collate information as and when required

Work closely with team members of the CEO Office to bring synergies in key initiatives as and when required

Any other relevant task as assigned by the Reporting Manager.

About the Project

The health and nutrition (HN) portfolio of PCI has expanded substantially over the last few years to include several multi-state projects on a variety of issues such as Maternal and Child Health, Family Planning, SRH, Non-Communicable Diseases, Neglected tropical Diseases, Malaria, Immunisation, Early Childhood Development etc. For more strategic and focussed growth, nationally and globally, we need better insights into the current market trends with an eye on upcoming thematic areas of interest to funding agencies, government and development agencies. We also need support for mobilising resources, especially in newer areas of climate change, mental health etc.
