  • Qualification required: Post Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development or Social Sciences or Psychology or Science with 6-8 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience required: -: 6-8 years of relevant work experience.
  1. Demonstrated experience of facilitating participatory trainings.
  2. Experience of working with the government departments/ projects, at least part of it being at the State level.
  3. Demonstrated technical, management and supervisory skills.
  4. Good communication skills in English and local dialect.
  5. Good documentation skills both in English and Hindi will be an added advantage.
  6. Needs to have fair expertise in M.S. Office (MS word, Power Point Presentations, etc.)
  7. Proven ability to take initiative, problem solving, and work as part of team

POSITION BRIEF:

The Consultant – Design & Development of FP Materials with modification for Scaleup will strategize and develop the training program related to Family Planning interventions to be implemented through BRLPS “JEEViKA” under the supervision of Program Manager-FPCP. She/He will work closely with  Family Planning vertical of JEEViKA for developing and operationalizing various models of training which includes training of physical as well as digital contents. She/He will work closely with different verticals of JEEViKA to develop and finalize the training content, develop training methodology, modules, tools, facilitators guide related to FP and other interventions. She/He will lead the field testing of various tools developed under Family Planning Convergence program and contextualize it for JEEViKA. She/He will also be responsible to strengthen capacity of state and district resource pool of JEEViKA for effective field level implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Development ·         Develop training materials, IEC tools, facilitators guide and training design for Family Planning convergence program and other innovations.

·         Support in developing digital contents for Family Planning convergence program and other innovations.

·         Lead the field testing of different modules, tools, digital content developed on Family Planning and other related themes.

·         Analyze the field data, revise the tools, and finalize them in concurrence with Family Planning and other verticals of JEEViKA.

 

Training Quality Assessment ·         Work closely with a team of thematic experts to formulate training methodology and develop systems for tracking the training flow.

·         Develop methodology/strategy for quality assessment of various trainings related to Family planning convergence program and different innovations.

·         Ensure training quality of all the trainings using different quality assessment tools.

·          Prepare a Quality Assessment Report on regular basis.

Training and Capacity Building ·         Conduct Training Need Assessment for JEEViKA staffs as and when required.

·         Develop a training plan for JEEViKA staffs in consultation with concerned thematic vertical of JEEViKA.

·         Work as a resource person as and when required.

Documentation ·         Prepare strategy notes, process documents, training reports, maintain database of the trainings of innovations & pilots in consultation with the concerned State Manager-JTSP.
                        Take up any other assignment specified by the supervisor/organization.

About the Project -– JEEViKA Technical Support Program (JTSP):

State Health Society Bihar and JEEViKA mutually agreed to work together for the common cause of strengthening the health and wellbeing of women, through pathway of reproductive health, comprising of family planning, to accelerate women empowerment. This collaboration between both the departments, manifested into inception of Family Planning Convergence Program in thirty-six blocks in five districts, in Bihar in the scaleup phase. Department of health with their niche in family planning, with the trained team of workers both at the community and facility levels and the medical facilities in place at PHC and HSC levels took a lead role in providing family planning information and services. Similarly, JEEViKA with a strong hold and access in community; especially amongst the women, with their established institutional structure, acted as driving factor for sensitizing and mobilizing women for family planning services.
