POSITION BRIEF:
The Associate Director Digital Systems, under the guidance of the Head – Program Strategy, would play a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s digital interventions in the fields of health, education, and livelihood. This leadership position involves collaborating closely with government stakeholders, managing strategic partnerships, and driving innovation to improve the impact and reach of our programs. S/he is expected to formulate and execute a robust digital strategy, ensure effective project management, and drive data-driven decision-making systems. With a focus on team development, budget management, compliance, and ethical standards, s/he would lead a dynamic department, shaping the organization’s digital future and advancing its mission to create positive societal change.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leading Digital Interventions
• Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy aligning with PCI India’s mission and objectives.
• Identify emerging technologies and trends to inform digital intervention strategies.
• Create a roadmap for digital initiatives, setting clear goals, and timelines.
• Design, develop, and implement digital interventions to address specific challenges in the health, education, and livelihood sectors.
Manage partnerships with stakeholders
• Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders to ensure that digital solutions are aligned with government priorities and meet the needs of the communities the NGO serves.
• Collaborate with other NGOs and development partners to share best practices and learn from each other’s experiences.
• Manage and coordinate digital projects with multiple stakeholders.
NGO Partnerships
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with other NGOs and international organizations.
• Collaborate on joint projects, knowledge sharing, and resource mobilization.
• Ensure effective coordination and communication with partner organization
Project Management
• Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of digital projects in health, education, and livelihood sectors.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Manage project teams and resources effectively.
Capacity Building and Team Management
• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of digital systems professionals.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
• Promote knowledge sharing and learning across the organization.
Technology Innovation
• Explore innovative technologies and solutions to enhance program effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of innovation within the digital systems department.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology investments.
Budget and Resource Management
• Develop and manage the annual budget for the digital systems department.
• Allocate resources effectively to support project implementation and growth.
• Monitor budget expenditures and financial performance.
External Communication
• Represent the organization at conferences, meetings, and public events.
• Act as a spokesperson for digital initiatives and advocate for the organization’s mission.
• Maintain positive relationships with media and communicate project successes.
Ethics and Integrity
• Uphold and promote ethical behavior, transparency, and accountability within the department.
• Ensure that all digital interventions adhere to ethical guidelines and principles.
Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences or allied subject
Skills and Experience:
• At least 5 years of professional experience for providing ICT solutions support to Government systems.
• More than 15 years of progressively responsible professional experience in leading a team, developing, implementing, and managing ICT solutions.
• Exposure to knowledge of management of physical hardware requirements, cloud planning and server sizing for large scale government projects/internal projects
• Experience in a similar profile for a large International NGO/ UN Organization
