About the Position
- Job Title: Expert Social Protection & Livelihoods (Team Lead)

- Location: Work requirements either form PCI Lucknow office or Government Department.
- Salary Range: Competitive salary commensurate with experience

- Qualification required: MBA in Agribusiness or related areas, master’s in development studies, Public Policy, Economics, and related fields from reputed colleges like IIM, ISB, IIT, IIFM, IRMA, JNU, TISS, University of Hyderabad, Azim Premji University etc.
- Experience required:
- Experience of 12+ years in Government consulting or working with International NGO’s (INGOs) at National/State apex level of embedded working in Government.
- Experience of leading teams engaged for inter-departmental Government projects. Will be given preference.
- Experience of facilitating periodic reviews (includes preparation of analytical power point) by Government departments.
- Proven experience in planning, assessing, designing and undertaking quick secondary analysis of social protection policies and poverty alleviation cum financial inclusion strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and partnering with different key stakeholders like Government departments, local level, academic institutes and CSRs.
- Skill and Competencies:
- Strong communication skills including academic writing and large data visualization. Preference will be given to candidates comfortable with writing in Hindi and English.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support in coordinating with welfare departments, field functionaries, implementation partners for the seamless implementation of pro-poor social protection-based initiatives of the Government, including ensuring financial inclusion of the identified ultra-poor households.
- Facilitate in project planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation for the project assigned to PCI India.
- Assist in supporting policymakers, such as Government departments, on poverty alleviation and financial inclusion strategies and reducing the digital divide.
- Track and monitor key ultra-poor households’ social and economic enhancement status through a dashboard and by undertaking field visits.
- Facilitate the compilation, updating, and analysis of program data periodically to identify trends and insights, ensuring these lessons are effectively shared with relevant stakeholders.
- Support Government review the effectiveness of the program through Analytical Decision-Enabling Dashboards/analytical presentations which will enable transparent and real-time tracking of project.
- Support adherence to project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
- Facilitate preparation of project reports and ensure timely documentation of project activities.
- Undertake field visits as and when required and support the documentation of human-interest stories and best practices from the field including anecdotes and pictures that highlight the impact of projects for which PCI is providing Technical Assistance.
- Work closely with staff in project and PCI state office to support seamless flow of knowledge and information for the purpose of reporting to the donor.
- Participate in organisational meetings/workshops and represent the project status/outcomes in the same.
- Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
About the Project
PCI India has been providing Technical Assistance (TA) support to Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) for a technology driven poverty alleviation, social protection, financial inclusion and livelihoods planning initiative. The role requires to closely work with senior leadership of Government, coordination with multiple welfare departments and implementation partners. Further, the project also entails collaboration with Academia and Corporate Houses for ensuring sustainable poverty alleviation for the identified ultra-poor households.

Recruitment Process
