  • Qualification required: An MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute or postgraduate in commerce or CA (Inter). Working knowledge of IT would be an added advantage.
  • Experience required:
  1. Minimum 2 to 5 years working experience in accounts and finance function.
  2. Working knowledge of USAID, FCRA, Income tax and other applicable laws.
  3. Liaison with auditor and statutory authorities.
  4. Hands on experience of financial reporting to donors.
  5. Analytical, verbal and written communications skills.
  6. Strong sense of professional commitment and maturity.
  7. Attention to details and ability to multi-task.
  8. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  9. Knowledge of computers especially MS Office, Advanced Excel and ERP – Microsoft Dynamics.

About the Role

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sustainability and Strategic Financial Management Systems

• Support providing a dashboard to the management highlighting costs and ratios thereby advising on productivity metrics and cost inefficiencies.
• Books of accounts are updated on regular and timely basis by handling all activities of the monthly and yearly closures.
• Verification of vouchers & documentation, payment processing, month-end checklist, and timely closures.
• Internal control systems for payments, procurements, and fixed assets management.
• Web banking automation and maintaining bank relationships.

Compliance, legal & Audit

• Assisting in physical verification of Assets & Stock.
Ensure audit preparedness by

  1. Digitalization of finance data.
  2. Physical archiving by handing over of list of files verification of physical data storage by the vendor.
  3.  Retrieval of data (both soft and hard data)

• Ensure payroll and statutory compliance by doing the following:

  1. Monitoring of timely & accurate TDS deduction.
  2. Coordination for providing the data to the vendor & reconciliation of vendors ledger on timely basis.
  3. Receiving, distribution, and resolving queries related to form 16A.
  4. Responses & documentation for audit queries.
  5. Signature digitalization.

Team Building
• Provide support to Line Manager in framing policies, defining/re-defining systems and processes.
• Work closely with all stakeholders with a service orientation and problem-solving approach

About the Project

PCI India has been providing Technical Assistance (TA) support to Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) for a technology driven poverty alleviation, social protection, financial inclusion and livelihoods planning initiative. The role requires to closely work with senior leadership of Government, coordination with multiple welfare departments and implementation partners. Further, the project also entails collaboration with Academia and Corporate Houses for ensuring sustainable poverty alleviation for the identified ultra-poor households.
