Qualification required:
• Candidate should preferably have a bachelor’s or equivalent Degree in Public Health/Community Health/Social work or any related field from a reputed university/ institute. Previous experience of working in advocacy roles with state government departments and field of SRH and HIV is desirable.
Experience required:
• The ideal candidate shall have substantial experience of working (not below 5 years) with government and international/national donors with major public/community health programs with experience of working for SRH centric programs.
• Experience of building and nurturing government relationships.
• Experience of designing and executing capacity building and mobilization programs.
• Candidates must have excellent written/ verbal communication, people management skills and project management skills.
Skill and Competencies:
• Knowledge and experience with SRH and specifically HIV programs.
• Excellent presentation and data handling skills.
• Good advocacy skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written English skills.
• Sophisticated digital literacy including word processing, database systems, and PowerPoint. Strong command of excel and budget management is a plus.

About the Role
Over the years of experience, it is evident that close link between sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and HIV, has clear advantages to make connections at policy, programmatic and service delivery levels.
However, evidence suggests that although SRH and HIV issues are interlinked, they do not work in unison. Hence it is important to bridge the gap and work towards integrated training, service provision and counselling for holistic (Sampoorna) health response to the communities.
PCI is proposing hiring of a technical SRH HIV consultant with the following broad objectives:
1. To strengthen SRH-HIV integration at the community level in four districts of Bihar (Sheikhpura, Katihar, Khagaria and Patna).
2. Initiate and strengthen interventions for community-level integration and screening camps of SRH and HIV services in the project districts of Bihar.
3. To facilitate integration at the reporting for SRH-HIV programs, training, and support at the state and district level.
4. To document the intervention and best practices to complement SRH-HIV integration model for further sharing.
Key roles and responsibilities :
1. Ensuring effective coordination with the PCI team members and concerned government department to plan and roll out program activities.
2. Facilitate and coordinate with the concerned government departments, networks and other relevant stakeholders for state workshop, review meetings and program delivery.
3. Travel to priority districts (Katihar, Khagaria and Sheikhpura) for providing technical support as per programmatic needs.
4. Support in data management related to SRH HIV integration component at state and district level.
5. Coordinate for community-level integration for SRHR-HIV at the sites/districts with community networks and CBOs
6. Coordinate with CBOs/NGOs, Asha workers, ANMs, and other health service delivery workers for HIV-SRHR training and organization of screening camps.
7. Ensure quality and implementation of the work plan on time as per the program commitment.
8. Responsible for coordinating with the community mobilizers for planning, work delegation etc. related to SRH HIV integration.
9. Strictly follow the individual activity plan and proactively contribute to the achievement of the strategic directions of the organization, ensuring adherence to the quality and timeliness of the deliverables.
10. Support in developing training content if necessary, and contribute towards planning, and supporting the training of health cadres as per plan.
11. Ensure good quality documentation and reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis ensuring timeliness in deliverables.
Other responsibilities:
Any other work assigned by the supervisor as per evolving project needs.

About the Project
Utkrist Parivar Niyojan Adhikar Sanrakshan aevum Matritva Swasthya Abhiyaan (UPAMA)
The Uttkristh Parivar Niyojan, Adhikar Sanrakshan aevum Matritwa Swasthya Abhiyan, or UPAMA, is the Hindi acronym for an “Exemplar Mission for Family Planning (FP), Maternal Health (MH) with Rights Protection” and seeks to develop and demonstrate critical metrics in the designated districts of Sheikhpura, Katihar and Khagaria and Patna urban PHCs, as an integrated model of SRH and Gender for young couples, with emphasis on youth and adolescents, vulnerable and marginalized communities. The program seeks to optimize the use of a range of government schemes, provisions, and facility-level quality of care around maternal health and family planning services by women and their families to address the preventable maternal deaths, unmet need for family planning and adolescents sexual & reproductive health. The program aims to address gender based violence and harmful practices with technical support to the key government departments to mitigate and take responsive actions through their policy and programs.
The project will focus on the following objectives:
i. Strengthen quality maternal health and family planning service delivery in identified priority districts of Katihar, Khagaria, Sheikhpura and the Urban PHCs of Patna, making them exemplars for learning and replication.
ii. Build institutional arrangements and effective mechanisms, comprising monitoring, mentoring, and putting data to work to improve the effectiveness and quality of the maternal health and family planning programme in the targeted areas.
iii. Engage community-based organisations to co-design and drive communication campaigns around SRHR and Maternal Health.
iv. Capture the key learning and manage knowledge related to the entire quality improvement process.
v. Enable identified facilities to reach the gold standard of quality care around Family planning and maternal health and achieve due certification for their quality.

Recruitment Process
