About Elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis Project:

PCI-India provides technical support to NVBDCP in elimination the two vector borne diseases Lymphatic Filariasis (LF). The project is focused on demand generation through social mobilization efforts leveraging several existing platforms and channels like State Rural Livelihoods Missions, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Education, and Front-Line Workers. The project is operational in 160 LF endemic districts and in 449 intensively focused villages having higher burden of VL.

About the Assignment

There is a request from government of Bihar to place one state consultant in SPO office to support him/her in the management of day to day activities with state and districts.

Key Deliverables

  1. Coordinate with district VBDOs to get the updates of MMDP and other filaria related activities on monthly basis.
  2. Preparing draft letters for the districts related to LF elimination program
  3. Support SPO in compiling the status of hydrocele surgeries in all the districts of the state
  4. Maintain MDA calendar and draft the directives for the districts
  5. Coordinate with partners to get their required support in MDA and MMDP
  6. Manage the logistics for MDA and MMDP interventions
  7. Ensure timely issuance of directives to the districts
  8. Managing other day to day office functions

Qualification:

  • Graduation in any discipline

Experience:

  • 10 years’ experience of working with government in VBD vertical
