Position: Consultant – Microsite Designing & Developing
Reporting Line: Chief of Party (JTSP)
Location: Remote
Number of Positions: 1
Duration – Maximum 60 working days in 4 months starting from August,2023

Objectives
PCI India has done extensive work in the field of Health and Nutrition and has moved the needle for several sticky indicators. In the process, a lot of learning and research has come to the fore. This invaluable knowledge and experience need to be catalogued and hosted in a way that is easy to access, is engaging and can be used by development practitioners, policymakers, academicians and others. A microsite can perform this task. Also, we would like to develop a playbook on RECOVER 3 with some restructured additions to the existing RECOVER Bihar microsite. PCI India seeks to use the latest web technologies to create a quality microsite for Health & Nutrition found in SRLMs that is engaging, easy to navigate and responsive. PCI India is looking to partner with an agency/freelancer with significant website development capabilities. The core objectives for this work will be:
• A website that highlights PCI India’s capabilities, work, impact and research in the field of Health and
Nutrition.
• A site that makes it easy for our target audiences to find the information that they need quickly.
• A content architecture that organises microsite’s content in an efficient and logical manner.
• Incorporate SEO best practices.
• A microsite for RECOVER 3 with a modular, flexible and attractive visual design.

Scope of Work for HN Microsite Design:
The selected Consultant is expected to work with PCI India to detail, develop and execute the following requirements:

I. Editable navigation and sub-navigation
II. Flexible page templates
III. Content tags and site search
IV. Photo galleries, lightboxes or slideshows, video player, audio player or audio embed
V. CTAs, promos and buttons
VI. Interactive and dynamic elements
VII. Forms
VIII. News/blog/stories
IX. Social sharing
X. Dynamic content—entered once, displayed many times (event > news > social)
XI. Dynamic keyword searches
XII. Structured snippets and markup
XIII. Native integration of APIs (e.g., social channels: YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and additional channels)

Scope of Work for RECOVER 3 Microsite Design:

The selected Consultant is expected to work with PCI India to detail, develop and execute the following requirements:
I. Editable navigation and sub-navigation
II. Content tags and site search

V. News/blog/stories
VI. Social sharing
VII. Dynamic content—entered once, displayed many times (event > news > social)
VIII. Dynamic keyword searches
IX. Structured snippets and markup
X. Native integration of APIs (e.g., social channels: YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and additional channels)

Note: This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of feature requirements but a guide to the consultants on what kind of site features PCI India will need on the microsite.

Responsibilities:

Will include areas of design such as typography, iconography, color, space and texture. Using knowledge, expertise and skills to help users successfully navigate and become comfortable with the products.

More responsibilities in detail:
• Present the user-interface visually so that information is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find.
• Prepare work by gathering information and materials.
• Generate clear ideas, concepts and designs of creative assets from beginning to end.
• Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user-experience.
• Translate client requirements, user needs, technical requirements into designs that are visually enticing, easy to use, and emotionally engaging.
• Interpreting storyboards to tell visual stories that support learning.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in the graphic design field.

Professional Experience:
• Proficiency in web design softwares like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, or Figma
• Understanding of HTML and CSS
• Understanding of UX principles and best practices
• Ability to create websites that are responsive and adapt to different screen sizes and devices, ensuring a consistent user experience
• Basic knowledge of SEO best practices
• Ability to manage time effectively and stick to the timelines
• Good communications skill
• A good portfolio of past work
