Position Overview: PCI is seeking a dedicated and proactive Project Officer to play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of our skilling and employability initiative in Nagpur, Mumbai & Nashik. As a Project Officer, you will collaborate closely with the Placements Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the program, facilitating skill development, job placements, and empowerment for individuals seeking better employment opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Coordination: Work closely with the Placements Manager to ensure the seamless execution of the skilling and employability initiative, aligning activities with program objectives and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain positive relationships with program participants, employers, training partners, community organizations, and local authorities.
  • Participant Support: Provide guidance and support to program participants throughout their skilling journey, addressing their concerns and assisting with any challenges they encounter.
  • Training Delivery: Coordinate with training partners to ensure the timely delivery of skill development programs, monitoring the quality of training and gathering feedback for improvement.
  • Placement Facilitation: Collaborate with the Placements Manager to identify suitable job opportunities for program graduates, facilitating job placements that match their skills and aspirations.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of program participants, training progress, and job placements, generating reports as needed to track program outcomes.
  • Logistical Support: Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and events related to the program, ensuring smooth logistics and participant engagement.
  • Community Outreach: Act as a liaison between the program and the local community, promoting awareness of the initiative and addressing community needs.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of program effectiveness, collecting data and insights to assess the impact of the skilling and employability initiative.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports for program stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, project management, business administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3-5 years of previous work experience in project coordination, program management, or community development, particularly within skill development or employment-focused initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the challenges faced by individuals seeking employment in the specific geographic location.
  • Proficiency in data management and basic reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
