Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead the comprehensive implementation of a transformative skills and employability program across four locations in Maharashtra, targeting a total of 20,000 students. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from strategic planning to execution, to ensure the program’s success in equipping students with the skills needed to access meaningful employment opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop a detailed project implementation strategy, outlining goals, milestones, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a cross-functional team, including program coordinators, trainers, administrators, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
- Project Execution: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of the program, relating to student enrollment, certification and placements and ensuring alignment with project objectives and adherence to quality standards.
- Budget Management: Support the reporting manager in managing the project budget, monitoring expenses, and adjusting as necessary to optimize resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, partner organizations, and community leaders.
- Program Monitoring: Establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track progress, collect data, and measure the impact of the program against predefined indicators.
- Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for senior management and funders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended strategies for improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges and develop contingency plans to ensure program continuity and success.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that training content, materials, and delivery methods align with industry standards and best practices.
- Capacity Building: Provide training and professional development opportunities to program staff, enhancing their skills and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in project management, business administration, social sciences, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in project management, with a demonstrated track record of successfully implementing large-scale initiatives.
- Strong understanding of skill development, education, or employment programs.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to drive outcomes and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Willingness to travel to project locations as needed.
